Rain + Political Volunteering = Dampness

There are lots of things that I can enjoy while it rains; political volunteering isn't exactly at the top of the list.
In particular, last night, while petitioning, the rain caused me to place a department store bag over my petition clip board, wear a hat and rain coat all night, and still get things wet climbing in and out of a car.
I got my assignment done, but ended up moist, and with soggy petitions, walk sheets and maps, despite my best attempts at dryness. I realize that there is little sadness among you readers over this, but that is why I may seem snarky today.
