Iran: Fascinating, Scary
I don't profess to have any real insights into the current unsettled events in Iran. The ruling government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is getting heat for suspicious election results that showed the incumbent win about two-thirds of the vote over conservative reform candidate Mir Hossein Moussavi.
In some ways, it appears to be a scary repeat of events from 30 years ago, where thousands, if not millions, of protesters of the existing government took to the streets and were opposed by the military and police; last time, it led to the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Like many other people, I am frequently checking the BBC, CNN, the major networks and other sources to see what is really going on in Iran; any recommendations for other sources are welcome.
