Sabres: Wow

How much more can you say than "wow," after the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Ottawa Senators in game 2 of their NHL playoff round, 2-1, last night, to take a 2-0 game lead and bring these wins back to Buffalo for games 3-4 Wednesday and Thursday? I may have eventually predicted a Sabres' series win in in 7 games, but I don't know of anyone who said/wrote that Buffalo would win the opening games on the road.
You can bet coach Lindy Ruff and the veteran leadership on the Sabres (Chris Drury, Mike Grier, Jay McKee, Daniel Briere, Teppo Numminen) will try to make sure that the team aims to take care of business these next two games.

The Sabres have an added incentive to warp things up quick...they may run out of healthy bodies.

Maybe it's a good thing that Rochester didn't exactly burn up the AHL this season or make a dent in the playoffs. The Amerks that the Sabres may want to call up should be well-rested, and I know that Novotny is already traveling with Buffalo.
Any word on Connolly or Kalinin yet, Kevin?
