Against Our Will

Hard as we tried to refrain, at 4:38 p.m. today, Sunday, May 31, the heat was turned back on at the Dunne-Hosey Estates, and the furnace immediately turned on.
This hurts not only our spirit, as for cripe's sake summer is just around the corner, but also will hurt our wallets, as we had no plans to use the furnace or any other appliance for heat in the near future. Cooking? Well, yeah, some oven use, but also some outdoor cooking and propane use.
Please tell me these aren't harbringers for what summer will hold for us.

I put down 6 bags of mulch with two more to go, and I think another 2 or 3 to be bought to finish under the misguided idea summer was here. There are FROST warnings in our area now, looks like I'm headed out to rescue the hanging plants! I feel your pain!

We share your dislike of the frost warnings, especially since it becomes June overnight.

And wasn't this your anniversary weekend? Are you supposed to be this busy during it?

Actually Memorial Day was our anniversary, but nothings open on MOndays. So we went to dinner Saturday night sans the kids, and then went to the Pittsford Pub to listen to Paul Strowe who played at our wedding. He's still playing the guitar, but mostly on cruise ships until May or June.
