UB Wins Football Marathon
It was great to watch the State University at Buffalo Bulls defeat Akron in four overtimes, 43-40, in NCAA football action on ESPNU last night.
Of course, things got a little dicey for UB as they lost an early lead before battling through the overtime sessions, and my suspense almost got a bit dicey. I was DVRing the game and about to start watching at about 9:30 p.m. when, while checking Facebook, I saw that a certain friend and blogger had posted the halftime score.
I had been staying away from all news and sports web sites, so this kind of temporarily irked me, but I did otherwise remain in the dark until I watched the game, or most of it, dozing off for parts of the third and fourth quarters.
