Good Hold Music? Really?

I was on hold a few days ago with the Rite Aid Pharmacy; I had dropped off two prescriptions there the previous Friday, and while my new one was filled, the old one was not and the pharmacist told me to check back to see if the medication was discontinued or if they could fill it.
So, during my Tuesday callback, I was placed on hold while the pharmacist checked to see if they had any of the medication to fill at least 30 days. Having taken this medication for about 7 years, I was annoyed at the chance that it was discontinued.
Needing something good, I smiled wide when I heard the hold music: "Caravan," by Van Morrison. And talk about perfect timing; as the horns began to fade at the end, the pharmacist returned. Sadly, I am in search of a new medication or medication source.

If you're interested in some good music, i just listened to the new Moneyland album that McCoury Music released on the 8th. Its pretty good. It has a title track by Del McCoury, and features a ton of artists like Gillian Welch, Chris Knight, Patty loveless and a lot more. My favorite so far is the title track, these guys have been playing so long together that its more like second nature than a job. livinginmoneyland.com has the full album and free downloads if you want to listen to it :)

Actually, Erin, the good people at McCoury Music sent me a review CD of "Moneyland," which I like and will review soon here at this blog and at our web site, www.buffaloroots.com.
