Nice Sports Scheduling

With Wednesday and Friday totally open from major sports playoff conflict, somehow, Game 4 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, in which the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Detroit Red Wings while trailing 2 games to 1, is on opposite the first game of the NBA Finals, when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Orlando Magic at 9 p.m.
While the games start one hour apart, do you think that someone, anyone, could have worked hard enough not to have the games going on at the same time? I can't imagine what it would be like if teams from the same city made it to the finals, even if the games weren't in the same city at the same time. Actually, it is hard to imagine what it is like for one team from Buffalo to make it to a sports finals.
Greed, stupidity and a lack of concern for sports fans seem to be the main deciding factors for the schedule conflict here. Val and I will be watching the Penguins-Red Wings game live, and I will be watching as much of the Lakers-Magic game as I can on DVR.
