Wiping What Now?

I see that Buffalo Sabres' coach Lindy Ruff wants to "wipe the slate clean" after the Sabres' awful 2-0 loss to Nashville Monday and get his hockey team back on track.
While I can't disagree with Ruff's sentiment and certainly hope that the Sabres have nowhere else to go but up from here, I'm not sure it was a slate being wiped by the Sabres on the ice Monday. Get those Zambonis working fast and use some lather, guys.
