How Long Has This Been Going On?
So, how long do I/we have to put up with the lack of Peter Pan peanut butter, and how much longer, due to the reported salmonella outbreak, do we have to make this extreme sacrifice?
Yes, Peter Pan was/is my favorite brand of peanut butter, and yes, I am glad it was taken off the market after the problems that occurred, but damn, Jiff , Skippy and store brand just won't do, and don't even ask me about Goober or Smuckers.

Hurry! Go to Wegman's! It's there right NOW!!! Or at least it was when I bought 3 jars a few days ago.
"New Taste" - yep. But maybe too I got so used to JIF that I forgot what PP was like. It's still good.
Wait a minute; it wasn't there at the Amherst Street Wegmans, or the one in Depew when I did my mother's grocery shopping, Sunday.
Damn it, I know where I'm stopping tomorrow; thanks for the tip Becky. But "New Taste?"
Wegmans on Amherst - I think I got it last Friday.
I know, "New Taste"? Who asked for "New Taste"?
After reading this, I was inspired; Check out my post today if you feel like it (there's a picture, in case the shelves are still bare).
Sorry - in my delirium over finding Peter Pan my reading comprehension suffered. "New Look! Great Taste!"
is what it says. The only thing that looks new is that blurb - to make sure we know that they didn't just haul out the condemned stock, I'm sure.
I thought maybe it was missing that salmonella flavoring now. Because of my cholesterol I have een eating reduced fat peanut butter, it's like trying to spread clay on bread. Between the food and toy recalls, my kids are policing labels now.
Reduced fat peanut butter, sis? Ugh. I tried the low salt for a while, and it wasn't too bad, but I'm back to regular peanut butter.
Well, it's not just the cholesterol that's up, the pounds are going up too :-<
