Secretary of State Hosey?

Hey, I live about a mile from the U.S.-Canada border and have a myriad of Canadian relatives; does that make me a foreign relations expert and qualified for higher office?

Ha; too funny. I live near the other border and speak broken Spanish. I must be qualified as a foreign relations expert as well.

Hey, if the mean-spiritedness of the Republicans win this year, can you at least imagine Hosey-Hosey in 2012?

Ha; there you go.

The interviewee on TV is saying now: "She's from a small town, she's a mother, she's got character. She's qualified."

Hell, if those are the qualifications, sign me up.

Actually, I think you're overqualified since you are an actual reporter and writer, not a dolled-up former cheerleader.

I hate to rain on your parade, but a certain 78 year old I know is mad Hillary won't be Prez or VP and is leaning towards Mcain-Palin. We need to unite against this!

Heather: My mom just told me that yesterday! I couldn't believe it. I was going to comment on that before but didn't want to get off on what could be a long tangential blog-comment-pollutant.

tangential blog-comment-pollutant?

AS my husband would say, I gotta throw a flag on that phrase!

Ha; too hypheny?

Are you gonna flag hypheny now?

Of course, I'd flag gonna. But I'm on no sleep and cold medicine, so I'll cut myself some slack.

I just meant it could get a tad off-topic of the original post, what with the aforementioned 78-year-old, plus my own mother's political leanings, and so on. My husband and I have frequent discussions about it all that all-too-frequently degrade into shouting (I mean, talking passionately, so I tend to be cautious.

There I go with the hyphens again. Flag away.

Nah, I don't mind hyphens or parantheses. I meant the Masters' Degree words.

I write like I speak, even afer over 20 years I speak like a Buffalonian. We just gotta hope that the youth, etc. come out to vote.

(parenthetically, I don't really talk like that, only in blogs).

I have had those same talks with mom recently, and I will continue them to make her see that McCain simply does not share the same beliefs and stands as she does.
She seems more pissed at Obama for beating Hillary and for allegedly not showing her the proper respect. Egad.

Egad indeed.

I didn't actually mean to return and comment on this post yet again, but I had to -- did you see this? Clearly, we're not alone.

(Heather: Ha. OK; I get it. I just usually get flagged for being overly hypheny. But Aaron gets on me for "intellectual snobbery" in my speech. For better or worse, I really talk that way a lot.)

I joined that Facebook group, "I have more foreign policy experience than Sarah Palin". I got my passport 3 years before her, and I live on the border of a foreign country...

And to consider another, more surface issue, her voice is like a freaking BUZZSAW!
